Young Adult Program

Helping Individuals Between
the Ages of 19 And 30
Find the Confidence and Tools They Need to Meet Their Goals.

Creative Centre Society for Metal Wellness operates a Young Adults (YA) program once a week at both of our clubhouses for anyone between the ages of 19 and 30 living with a severe and persistent mental illness. Our YA groups work to help our participants find ways to increase their self-esteem and confidence, decrease anxieties in group settings, improve their overall social functioning, and learn essential communication and living skills.

There are several components within the Young Adults program: “Giving Back” to our community though volunteer opportunities, “Recreation Activities”, and “Life Skills”. Each week staff facilitates a group session where personal goal planning is discussed, as well as the opportunity for one-on-one appointments with staff for participants who do not wish to share in a group setting, although it is encouraged.

We also offer YA2 for members who are not comfortable around a lot of people or activities. This group is smaller than our other YA group and takes care to not overstimulate anyone. Both of our clubhouses also work with Youth Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) and have small groups for EPI clients.
